The phoenix, known as the "King of Birds", symbolizes auspiciousness, happiness, and prosperity. It is said that the phoenix will only perch on tall Chinese parasol trees that reach the clouds—thus, the Chinese parasol tree is also called the "King of Trees". This legend reflects the phoenix’s selectivity and uniqueness in choosing its habitat, and also symbolizes the wise talents’ choice of virtuous rulers.
The theme of "Phoenix Perching on the Chinese Parasol Tree" is also widely used in literary works, where it stands for beautiful love and marriage.
For the fabric selection: We chose a jacquard fabric with a subtle shimmering texture, which boasts exquisite detailing—this detail is hard to capture in photos, and you can only truly feel its beauty when you hold it in your hands. As the bijia is not meant to be worn next to the skin, we selected a fabric with better wrinkle resistance for it.
